Café Trang is almost always crowded, here you'll see everyone from movie stars to politicians to hipsters (even us)—just about anyone who enjoys good, inexpensive Asian food, but this place is more about the food than the atmosphere. Café Trang specializes in Vietnamese dishes, but there is also a smattering of Chinese entrées on the menus. They're liberal with spices and chilies, and when they say hot, they mean hot, so be careful. The menu is extensive, so you'll have quite a time deciding, but you can never go wrong with any of the soft or crispy noodle dishes. A favorite is the fried spring rolls with vermicelli, the spring rolls and shrimp-filled wontons are also a must. Cafe Trang also does catering and take-out.

Café Trang has been a favorite for years, and yes the fried spring rolls are the best anywhere. The Hot and Sour soup is one to recon with it is the Golden Glove of soups. No other restaurant so far can touch it. We find the award winning General Tsao's Chicken is the closest to the original in the state. (The original General Tsao's can be found at the China Kitchen in Manassass, Virginia—it's to die for) Don't be afraid if you're on a budget, there are several Luncheon Combo's for you and Yes the drink comes with the meal, don't let them tell you otherwise. – Funky - 2000.12.31

Gill states that Café Trang is his wife's favorite place to eat in fact rumor has it he proposed to her in front of the fish tank.

Pete the Manager whom we will miss dearly here at the downtown store has graciously accepted the responsibility of managing the new location at the Cottonwood Mall. Feel free to drop in and say hi to him and let him know Funky sent you. – Funky - 2004.04.12   [ Cottonwood Mall has closed, but one has been opened in Draper. ]

Our favorite location is Café Trang Downtown, it has become home of our Annual New Years Eve Dinner for the past 6 Years. If you find yourself looking for a excellent meal to ring in the New Year, stop by and visit us. – Funky - 2006.12.31

UPDATE

Cafe Trang has relocated from their main street location to the old Xiao Li location on 300W. 200S. – Funky - 2007.12.31

It's that time again when the year is coming to a close and a new to begin so lets celebrate the year of the monkey in our New Year's tradition by dining at Cafe Trang! What's this?!! The hell you say! Cafe Trang has closed this location on 300W. 200S. But rest assured they still have their Draper and Murray locations available. – Funky - 2015.12.31
